I'am sorry but you must start the move with a bottom turn Shane, the bottom turn sets the basement for a top turn. For a surfer, you are showing the second half of the move, the first one is missing. Another big mistake is your front elbow, the front elbow never cross your front knee. Never, must watch pro surf technics from Chapin, it will help surfers and non surfers to improve the bottom turn, and top turn. Cheers.

Hi Shane, I see you replaced the stock wheels? I got this due to my rather large feet, but struggle with the loose nose on pump tracks and even quarter pipes. How does this compare to your current boards?

The new-design springs are extremely durable. The feedback you get from the board when you pump is unique in that unless you use your body correctly you are not moving anywhere - best to test on a slight incline. The jackknifing aspect is beneficial for letting you know your stance is wrong as well i.e. too far forward. You can get away with (and incorrectly embed!) bad technique on other surfskates in comparison with Swelltech's design. I would also say DEFINITELY swap the stock wheels for something faster, yes they are sticky but will slow you down - could be an advantage if you are only starting I suppose. Orangatang 4president orange (80a) is a nice compromise between grip and speed for street. Great channel btw!

C'est inutile, les surfskates sont créés à la base pour s'entraîner en surf, c'est l'essence même de leur création. Faut avoir des bases en surf pour exploiter ces skates : bras arrière touche l'eau, compresser, contre rotation sur la lèvre etc. C'est ce qui échappe totalement au non surfeurs.

Pour 1m75cm de taille, ce skate à 34' est trop long, trop grand. Grand max faut rester à 31' .
